St. Croix River victim’s condition has been upgraded to serious

The condition of a woman pulled from a car submerged in the icy St. Croix River earlier this month was upgraded to serious Wednesday. Kalaiselvi Vijayakumar, 25, had been in critical condition at Regions Hospital in St. Paul since she was admitted after the April 13 accident.

DOVER, Minn. - A southeastern Minnesota woman is accused of hitting her brother-in-law with a hatchet in a dispute about cows. Olmsted County prosecutors have filed two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon against 35-year-old Brenda K. Shorter.

New Rose To Honor Heroes Of Sept. 11 Attacks

A Minnesota nursery has helped to develop a special variety that holds a beautiful meaning. It’s called the “Forty Heroes” rose and the special blooms will be included in a memorial garden to honor the crew and passengers of United Flight 93, one of the planes that went down on Sept. 11.
